Romney confident of duping Evangelicals despite sagging poll numbers

Excerpted from a story by the estimable MIKE GLOVER titled Romney Weighing Speech on Religion, Romney is quoted as saying:

“I expect that evangelical Christians who believe in life and family values are going to vote for someone who shares their views and has a real prospect of being nominated by our party and becoming president,” Romney told the AP. “The difference between me and Sam Brownback is he has run a uniformly negative campaign” … more

Question: Is this false bravado? Or: is this simply delusional?

“I expect that evangelical Christians who believe in life and family values are going to vote for someone who shares their views”–um, OK., Romney, but since when have you shared the views of Evangelicals? Since 10 minutes ago? Since 15 minutes ago? And how do we know that your values will stick this time? See:
